Jasmine Tea from Fujian Tea Import & Export Co, Ltd.
Style: Jasmine Tea – Region: Fujian, China50 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 2/5 Value: 4/5
Sep. 15th, 2023
I have been seeing this tea around for years, its mustard-colored tins are commonly available in Chinese food shops. My most recent container of it seemed fairly dry and grassy, with less jasmine flavor than it had in the past. Or perhaps my tastebuds may have changed a bit over time. As a budget priced jasmine tea, it...

Style: Flavored Black Tea – Region: Blend71 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 2/5
Sep. 15th, 2023
As explained below, my score may be a bit unrepresentative on the low end, but only out of honesty on why. The quality of this product stands out, and it's one of the strongest flavored black teas I've had out of a bag. The base Kenyan tea, with finely chopped leaves, turns dark quickly and releases a somewhat bitter...

Style: Rooibos Chai / Spiced Rooibos – Region: Blend52 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 1/5
Sep. 4th, 2023
As with their other product that I have reviewed (Bombay Masala Chai), the concept is great, but the execution is lame. The sachets only contain around 1/5 their volume of dry product, which (as can be expected with rooibos) doesn't expand very much when wet, leaving the wet bags still 1/4 full or less. What a waste ...

Classic earthy Yunnan aroma, with a hint of chocolate. Liquor (5 minute steep) is a clear medium brown.Flavor is clean, with a spice/peppery after taste. Overall, enjoyable.

First thing I noticed was the volume, so let's offer up a round of applause for Salada, for keeping 20 teabags per box. If inflation has to happen, I'd rather have it through higher prices for the same items than the more deceptive, underhanded practice of "shrinkflation", seen in other teas. Each bag is normal-sized...

The aroma reminds my of wheat toast with a slight sweetness (grapes?) in the background. The liquor is a pleasant clear brown (5 min steep). The flavor is very enjoyable, with an almost dueling after taste, peppery with a hint of sweet. I am going to enjoy this tea.

I bought this 15-sachet sack for a couple bucks less, at the same suburban Dallas H-E-B store as Chai Diaries' 15-sachet can of Bombay Masala Chai. Teapigs' chai, while still somewhat expensive, is *far* better, each pyramid sachet holding about twice as much content, filling it up when wet, with noticeably higher qua...

A robust kind of chrysanthemum tea, love this especially in the autumn and winter season, but is quite good to as an ice tea in the summer. I only use 1.5g of tea per mug, as just a few flowers release already a lot of flavour!

Lovely seaweedy and nutty flavour. The tea leaves are very delicate and when steeped they show a nice vibrant green colour. Due to the small leaves the flavour releases quickly. I steeped 5 grams of this tea in a gaiwan for 10 seconds for the first 3 steeps and afterwards I increased it gradually. Could enjoy around 12...

A very fragrant tea and consists of tea leaves and a fair amount of buds. The jasmine aroma balances well with the green tea base. The tea soup has a nice creamy texture. The value is decent, there are cheaper jasmine teas out there, but not at such quality.

Steeped 5 gram of this green tea at 85ºC for 10 seconds in a gaiwan for the first 3 steeps, and afterwards, I gradually increased the steeping time by 5 seconds per steep. Unlike like green teas such as maofeng and anjibai, this green tea is savoury and robust with sweet, nutty, and vegetal notes. Excellent value for ...

I bought a box of 25 tea bags in an Asian grocery store. The bags are individually sealed in foil and filled with finely chopped pieces of tea. Upon opening the foil pouch, the tea smells recognizably as a roasted oolong.
The brewed tea is unremarkable, but it tastes quite nice. It has a mild bitterness that is bala...
Cinnamon Stick® Black Tea from Bigelow Tea

Somehow, this Bigelow offering escaped me for many years, but it finally emerged from hiding and surrendered to my tea-greedy clutches at a Denver-area hotel—and only then, because striking a huge deer at full speed east of town totaled my vehicle. After that ordeal, and stuck at the hotel amid 30 hours of cold rain...

A mild, fruity green tea. The pineapple comes thru clearly, but I was not picking up much maracuja. Nice aroma of citrus and calendula flowers. On screen this seems like it would be a good iced tea, but my guess is it is not robust enough. This could use a little more uumph, but it is a perfectly pleasant tea.

I am very pleased with this ginger-citrus flavored Sencha by Arbor Made with all organic and natural ingredients (tea, orange peel, ginger, calendula petals, natural flavors), it has a pleasant flavor and a nice citrus aroma. Here's still another quality green-black blend from Murchie's, who has a large menu of them and seems to have mastered the apparently delicate art. The blend also is over a century old too, with an interesting history: a custom job originally prepared by company founder James Murchie for Laura Dunsmuir, wife of James...

This is a good deal on an organic earl grey - as of this writing an 11 oz bag is selling for a very attractive price, and it is a good tea. The base tea is pretty mellow, and there is a little candied orange flavor from the bergamot. This is on the low-key side for the style. The aroma of the dry tea is strong and citr...

The flavor of this is pleasant and mellow, with raspberry coming through clearly and blending nicely with the base tea. It does not taste fake or overly aggressive. The aroma is quite enjoyable, with noticeable raspberry and no off notes. Very nice.

To think, I was on a run of decent to good scores for teas from this brand...no more. DeTox has no real personality because it seems to be an "everything but the kitchen sink" concoction. The dry-bag aroma is interesting: peppery, grassy, a little minty or fruity, depending on the way the vapors waft across the pass...

I do like that fact that real masala chai blends are now available in the USA, since it is a style that I enjoy, but this is not a favorite. The gingerbread aroma is nice, but there is too much hot pepper in this for my palate, and not enough cardomom and cinnamon. You might like it if you enjoy lots of black pepper i...

The aroma, for me, reminds me of menthol. Think 'Vics vapo rub'. The medicine like aroma is unusual. The aroma is present in the liquor. The liquor (5 min steep) is a very dark brown, bordering on black. The taste is good, with a slight sweet after taste (peach, maybe). While not disappointing, it would not be my first...

I first came across Arbor Teas here on RT, decided to give them a try, and I'm glad I did. This is a bright, drinkable Ceylon. It is cut rough, and has a fresh, smooth, lightly fruity flavor. I found it enjoyable with either milk or lemon and sugar, and I am confident it would be good on ice too. The 7 oz bags are b...

This tea has a mild aroma that reminds me of an Assam. The liquor (5 min steep) produces a deep rich brown color. The flavor, matches the aroma, mild Assam like. Slight maltiness. This would a good 'sip all day' choice. Might be too mild for milk or sugar.
